The wired gadget lab blog posted this bummer of a project today (http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2010/09/bicycle-obelisk?pid=210). Sponsored by Nissan it feels like a memorial more than a celebration of cycling. The bikes came from community donations and the tower sits among car dealerships... How many of those bikes where just "junk in the garage" but totally ridable? -A
